Ocean Heart Productions is a film company that strives to tell stories that bring multicultural identities and artistic expressions to life. The first film of our production company is Nocturno, a feature documentary about finding hope thanks to music in sickness or at an elderly age. We are a team based in Luxembourg formed by Rudi De Bouw and Isabel Rivero-Vilà.
Rudi De Bouw is a Belgian-Luxembourgish composer and a conductor. He spent his childhood in a musical environment, and it was only natural that he made music his profession. He studied first at the Conservatory of Luxembourg, then at the Royal Conservatory of Liège where he obtained between 1988 and 1995 several Masters degrees with distinction.
After his studies he worked as an euphonium/tuba player in several orchestras such as the Liège Philarmonic Orchestra, the Opéra de la Monnaie as well as the Belgian Air Force Orchestra, he then conducted in several orchestras while continuing to teach at the Conservatory of Esch-sur-Alzette, until 2016.
For more than 15 years, he has been the guest conductor in well-known orchestras such as the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra, the Emporda Chamber Orchestra or the Leopoldinum Chamber Orchestra with which he premiered several of his compositions. In 2016, he became the Director of the Music School of the City of Differdange. In the last few years, he has turned to composition and several of his pieces have already been awarded in various international competitions and used as soundtracks for films.
